Manchester hosts this perennial favourite with conference sessions in the day and live bands all night in venues all over the City of Manchester in the North of England which is over-run by record and publishing executives, A&R scouts, lawyers and accountants on an annual basis. Now sadly lacking a decent bar or focus for networking ITC seems to have faded a bit recently. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Popkomm is held in Berlin and the worldwide music industry meets in Germany's capital. In workshops and panels topics like mobile music, live-business and digital music were discussed. International artists like René Baumann (DJ Bobo) held keynotes. More than 400 hours of music live were presented in more than 20 clubs wth 1200 artist from of 23. Music Matters, The Asia Pacific Music Forum, held in Hong Kong in June 2008, has announced its preliminary programme examining and debating the key issues of Asia’s music and entertainment industry from a global perspective and looking at key markets such as China, Japan and Korea.
