On the day it was announced that Pink Floyd are taking legal action against EMI over the alleged underpayment of royalties and join a long list of dissatisfied artists including Radiohead and Paul McCartney, Simon Bowers looks at Terra Firma’s acquisition of the troubled major label and asks “Guy Hands called securitisation the crack cocaine of finance, so why didn’t he kick the habit”
